Privacy notice.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This notice explains the information used by this website and the PageConnector testing service.
Who operates the service
The operator is Chris Bayne. See business information for the operator’s details and contact us about privacy.
This public website
This information website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration or an enquiry form. Pages use locally hosted assets. The hosting provider may process access and security logs, including IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include.
The PageConnector application
The separate application processes the supplied Page URL, the requesting business, the Page name and ID when identified, invitation status and timestamps. Failed operations can retain sanitised Meta errors, error codes and trace references for troubleshooting. The requester can see the invitation’s outcome and relevant diagnostics.
During Facebook sign-in, the service processes your app-scoped Facebook identity, granted permissions and the Page list made available by Meta to identify the requested Page. Page approval sessions store an encrypted token for the requested Page. A separate controlled business-side test can also temporarily store an encrypted user token. Facebook handles your Facebook password.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide the requested invitation and approval service, check authority for the named Page, submit the selected Ads and Insights operation to Meta, report its result, prevent misuse and investigate failures. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it.
Sharing and storage
Hosting providers process information to operate the service. Meta receives the Page ID, business ID and requested tasks when a grant is submitted, and processes sign-in under its own policies. Access tokens are not included in the QR code or invitation link. Invitation links can expose invitation details to anyone who receives them, so share them only with the intended admin.
Retention
Application approval sessions have a local 15-minute validity window. Tokens are removed on confirmed completion, session clearing, deauthorisation or cleanup. The test build supports cleanup of invitation and audit records after 90 days of recorded activity, with unresolved submissions retained for reconciliation. Expiry is not the same as physical deletion; removal depends on cleanup running on the application host. A keyed identity hash supports audit and deletion. Hosting logs and correspondence are managed separately by the operator and hosting provider.
Cookies
This public information website does not set application cookies. The separate approval application uses essential session cookies to protect sign-in and forms. Facebook may use its own cookies when you visit Facebook to sign in.
Your information and choices
Contact the operator to request access, correction or deletion of information held about you, or to raise a privacy concern. See the deletion instructions for application data and the separate steps for revoking partner access in Meta.
Testing and updates
PageConnector is currently in controlled testing. This notice will be updated as the service and its data handling change. The application’s own privacy notice also describes the deployed testing service.
